Elyse enjoys an active career in the New Zealand and international art scenes. Below are a few examples of her arts management experience to date.

RimuFest Chamber Music Festival - Festival Manager & Faculty Artist

January 2020 - July 2021

RimuFest is a one week summer chamber music programme held in Veracruz, Mexico and Tauranga, New Zealand for beginner to advanced string players. Students come together in a social setting using teamwork and leadership skills to create music together.

As Festival Manager, Elyse organises the operations and logistics of the biannual festival in consultation with the Co-Artistic Directors. As a Faculty Artist, she performs as violist with the Harikoa Quartet, ensemble-in-residence and teaching faculty for RimuFest Chamber Music Festival.

New Zealand String Quartet - Marekting & Engagement Manager

March 2018 - May 2021

Celebrating its 30th season in 2017, the New Zealand String Quartet has established an international reputation for its insightful interpretations, compelling communication, and dynamic performing style. The Quartet is known for its imaginative programming and for its powerful connection with audiences of all kinds.

As Marketing & Engagement Manager, Elyse oversees and maintains NZSQ's media, marketing, and digital communication platforms. This role combines Elyse's passion for chamber music and provides an inside view into arts management here in New Zealand and abroad.

String Quartet

Raroa Music Centre - Programme Supervisor

April 2017 - May 2021

Raroa Music Centre is a music initiative through the NZ Ministry of Education aimed for students 5-12 years old and offers tuition in 10 different instruments from beginner to advanced level, and four general music classes - music basics, choir, orchestra, and ukulele group.The emphasis at the Centre is providing a music education experience that is fun and engaging for our students.


RMC caters to 300+ families in the Greater Wellington Region each year.

Sinfonia for Hope - Media Coordinator

2018 - 2022

Established in 2018, Sinfonia for Hope's primary purpose is to fundraise for selected humanitarian causes through an annual concert.

As media coordinator, Elyse manages and maintains the website and facilitates all media related matters involved in event operations.

44th International Viola Congress - Congress Manager

August 2016 - January 2018

From September 1-5, 2017, the Australian New Zealand Viola Society (ANZVS) in collaboration with the International Viola Society and New Zealand School of Music Victoria University of Wellington will host the 44th International Viola Congress in Wellington, New Zealand.

International Viola Congresses have been held annually all over the world since 1973 and aim to promote and encourage the development of new viola repertoire, new insights into existing repertoire, and viola-related research, by bringing together international and national artists, organisations, and institutions through public recitals, lectures, and masterclasses.

New Zealand School of Music - Young Musicians Programme Coordinator

August 2014 - June 2016

The New Zealand School of Music — Te Kōkī at Victoria University of Wellington is NZ's pre-eminent provider of university-level music education, research, composition and performance, offering an outstanding range of possibilities for the study of music. The Young Musicians Programme (YMP) is part of the School’s commitment to share its internationally acclaimed staff, its music education values, and its high quality facilities and resources with pre-tertiary students.


YMP offers upper primary to secondary school aged students the opportunity to further their musical tuition through jazz, composition, orchestral strings, voice, woodwind, and guitar classes and chamber music ensemble coachings.
